Custom carpet design is the process of choosing and fitting carpet that is cut, coloured and laid to suit one specific room. Decora Dubai provides carpet design in Dubai for villas, apartments, offices and hotels. The service covers wall-to-wall carpet, made-to-size rugs and carpet tiles, from site measurement to final fitting.
| Service | Types | Coverage | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Carpet design and installation | Wall-to-Wall, Rugs, Carpet Tiles | Dubai | 15 days | From AED 500 per sq m |
The right carpet depends on foot traffic, sunlight and how the room is used. These are the options we work with most often.
Wall-to-wall carpet, also called broadloom, covers the whole floor from skirting to skirting. It is stretched over underlay and held on gripper strips, so it feels soft and stays flat. Bedrooms, kids’ rooms and home cinemas benefit most from the warmth and sound absorption.
Best for: Bedrooms · Family rooms · Home cinemas
A custom rug is made in the shape, size and colour your space needs, rather than the closest size a shop has in stock. A rug under a dining table or sofa softens a marble floor without hiding it completely. Finishes include hand-tufted, machine-made and bound-edge rugs.
Best for: Living rooms · Majlis · Dining areas
Carpet tiles, usually 50 x 50 cm, are laid in a pattern across open-plan offices. A stained or worn tile can be lifted and replaced on its own, and tiles can be removed over raised access floors to reach cabling.
Best for: Offices · Meeting rooms · Co-working spaces
Hotel corridors, ballrooms and guest rooms need dense, hard-wearing carpet that keeps its look under constant use. Patterned designs, including borders and logo inlays, help hide everyday wear. Woven constructions such as Axminster and Wilton are long-standing choices for hospitality floors.
Best for: Hotels · Restaurants · Serviced apartments

Fine sand blows in through doors and balconies across Dubai, especially in villa communities near open land such as Al Khawaneej and Nad Al Sheba. Loop pile and tightly woven carpets hold less dust on the surface and are easier to vacuum. A doormat at each entrance makes a noticeable difference.
Strong sun through large windows can fade carpet colours over time, particularly in Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah apartments with full-height glass. Solution-dyed fibres hold their colour much better in direct sun. Adding blackout curtains protects the carpet further.
Many Dubai homes have marble or porcelain floors that feel cold under air-conditioning and make rooms echo. A custom rug or wall-to-wall carpet adds warmth and absorbs sound. This is especially helpful in apartments, where footsteps can carry to the unit below.
Commercial carpets in Dubai may need to meet Dubai Civil Defence fire requirements. We confirm the carpet specification with your fit-out consultant before ordering.

Carpet cost depends on the fibre, pile density, underlay, room size and any custom design work. Polypropylene carpet sits at the lower end, while wool and custom-patterned carpets cost more. Decora Dubai gives an itemised quote after measuring each room, so you only pay for the area you actually need.
A single bedroom or living room is usually fitted in [X] day(s). VERIFY Whole villas, office floors and custom-made rugs take longer because of material lead times. We confirm the fitting date in your written quote once the carpet is ready.
Nylon and solution-dyed polypropylene suit busy family rooms because they resist stains and fading. Wool or wool blends suit bedrooms where softness matters most. For homes near open sand or with pets, a tighter loop pile is easier to keep clean.
Yes. Wall-to-wall carpet can be fitted over level tiles or marble using gripper strips and underlay, without removing the existing floor. Rugs simply sit on top. We check that the floor is flat and dry during the site visit.
Carpet tiles are usually more practical for offices. Damaged tiles can be replaced individually, they lift easily over raised access floors, and they install with less disruption. Broadloom carpet gives a more seamless look and suits executive offices and boardrooms.
We serve Mizhar, Nad Al Hamar, Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej, Al Barsha, Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina, along with other Dubai communities. VERIFY Share your location when you request a quote and we’ll confirm the site visit.
