Quick Answer

What Does a Flooring Installation Service Include?

A flooring installation service is the supply, preparation and fitting of a new floor surface, such as SPC, wood, parquet, epoxy or rubber. Decora Dubai provides flooring in Dubai for apartments, villas, offices, gyms and hospitality spaces. The service covers site measurement, subfloor checks, material advice, installation and finishing trims.

Key Takeaways

  • The most popular flooring options in Dubai are SPC vinyl, engineered wood, laminate, parquet, epoxy, rubber and marble. Each one suits different rooms and levels of foot traffic.
  • SPC and laminate are floating floors that click together over the existing tiles, so most homes avoid demolition, dust and long downtime.
  • Flooring prices in Dubai depend on the material, room size in square metres, subfloor preparation and finishing details. Decora Dubai gives an itemised quote after measuring.
  • A standard apartment room in SPC or laminate is usually installed in [X] day(s).  Epoxy needs extra curing time before the floor can be used.
  • Choosing the right floor for the room means fewer repairs, easier cleaning and a finish that stays flat in Dubai’s heat and air-conditioning.

Flooring Types

Which Flooring Types Do We Install in Dubai?

Every room has different needs: water near kitchens, heavy weights in gyms, and comfort and quiet in bedrooms. Here is how each flooring type fits.

SPC Flooring

SPC (stone plastic composite) is a rigid, waterproof vinyl plank with a click-lock joint and a printed wood or stone surface. It can be laid directly over existing tiles, which makes it a fast upgrade for apartments and rental units.

Best for: Apartments · Kitchens · Rental properties

Wooden and Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood has a real timber top layer bonded to a stable plywood core, so it moves less than solid wood in air-conditioned rooms. It gives the warmth of natural oak or walnut and can be lightly sanded and refinished later.

Best for: Villa living rooms · Bedrooms · Offices

Parquet Flooring

Parquet uses small timber blocks laid in patterns such as herringbone and chevron. It is usually glued down and finished on site, creating a classic look that suits formal majlis rooms and boutique hotels.

Best for: Majlis · Dining rooms · Luxury apartments

Laminate Flooring

Laminate is a budget-friendly floating floor with an HDF core and a hard-wearing surface layer. It handles everyday use well but should be kept away from wet areas such as bathrooms.

Best for: Bedrooms · Home offices · Studios

Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy is a resin coating applied over prepared concrete. It cures into a seamless, easy-to-clean surface. Finishes include solid colour, decorative flake and metallic effects.

Best for: Villa garages · Warehouses · Commercial kitchens · Showrooms

Rubber and Gym Flooring

Rubber flooring comes in interlocking tiles or rolls. It cushions impact, protects the slab from dropped weights and reduces noise.

Best for: Home gyms · Fitness studios · Play areas

Marble Flooring and Restoration

Marble suits grand entrances and villa living areas. Over time it loses its shine and develops etch marks. Grinding, honing and polishing restore the surface without replacing the stone.

Best for: Villa entrances · Lobbies · Staircases

Our Process

How Does Flooring Installation Work?

A good floor depends on preparation as much as on the material. Every Decora Dubai flooring project follows six steps.

01

Consultation

Share your rooms, how they are used and the look you want, by phone or WhatsApp.

02

Site Survey

We measure each room with a laser measure, check that the floor is level and test the screed with a moisture meter.

03

Material Selection

Choose the floor, colour, underlay and skirting from samples, based on the survey results.

04

Written Quote

You receive an itemised quote covering materials, preparation and labour.

05

Preparation and Installation

Uneven areas are corrected with self-levelling compound. Floating floors are laid over underlay with expansion gaps, glue-down floors are trowelled in place, and epoxy is applied after grinding and priming the slab.

06

Finishing and Handover

We fit the skirting, door thresholds and transition profiles, then clean the site.

Pricing

What Affects Flooring Prices in Dubai?

Flooring prices in Dubai mainly depend on the material and the area being covered. These six factors decide the final cost:

  • Material: Laminate and SPC usually cost less than engineered wood, parquet or marble.
  • Area: Flooring is priced per square metre, so larger rooms cost more.
  • Subfloor preparation: Uneven or damp screed needs levelling or a membrane first.
  • Pattern: Herringbone and chevron layouts take more time and produce more offcuts.
  • Removal: Lifting old carpet, wood or tiles adds labour and disposal costs.
  • Finishing: Skirting, stair nosings and thresholds add to the total.

Dubai Owner’s Guide

Flooring in Dubai: What Property Owners Should Know

New handovers and screed moisture

Newly handed-over apartments and villas can have screed that still holds moisture. Wood or laminate laid too early can cup and lift at the joints. We test moisture levels before installation and use a membrane or a waterproof option like SPC when the readings call for it.

Heat, air-conditioning and expansion

Dubai floors go through temperature swings, especially near large windows in Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah apartments. Floating floors need a proper expansion gap at every wall, hidden under the skirting, or they can buckle in summer.

Noise rules in apartment towers

Many towers ask residents to use acoustic underlay so footsteps don’t carry to the unit below. Check your building management rules and approval process before work starts. We can supply underlay that meets the building’s requirement.

Villas, garages and home gyms

Villas in Mizhar, Al Khawaneej and Nad Al Sheba often have garages and spare rooms that become gyms. Epoxy handles car tyres and oil spots well, while rubber tiles protect the slab from dropped weights.

FAQ

Flooring FAQs

Flooring cost depends on the material, room size, subfloor preparation, pattern and finishing trims. Laminate and SPC usually sit at the lower end, while engineered wood, parquet and marble cost more. Decora Dubai gives an itemised quote after measuring, so the price matches your actual rooms.

Yes, in most cases. SPC and laminate are floating floors that can be laid over flat, firmly bonded tiles with underlay, so there is no demolition. Loose or cracked tiles must be fixed first. We check the floor during the site visit.

SPC is one of the most practical choices because it is waterproof and stable when temperatures change. Engineered wood performs better than solid wood in air-conditioned homes. For garages and commercial kitchens, epoxy is easier to clean and handles spills well.

A standard apartment room in SPC or laminate is usually completed in [X] day(s). VERIFY Parquet and glue-down wood take longer, and epoxy needs time to cure before it can be walked on. We confirm the full timeline in your written quote.

Rubber flooring is the most common choice for home gyms. It absorbs impact, protects the slab from dropped weights and reduces noise. Thicker rubber tiles suit free-weight areas, while thinner rolls work for cardio and stretching zones.

We serve Mizhar, Nad Al Hamar, Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej, Al Barsha, Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina, along with other Dubai communities. VERIFY Share your location when you request a quote and we’ll confirm the site visit.
